I always have to park under trees. My car never stays clean as a result. But, this time of year it’s covered in leaves. While changing my oil and rotating my tires this weekend I was picking leaves out of the cowl area. I noticed a leaf sticking out between the wheel well liner and fender. Popped off the liner and found a massive amount of leaves. 3 years worth I suppose. Pretty sure I gained 5 hp.

This is on the to do list for my car as well. My car probably has 12 years worth of decayed leaves in it. What kind of car do you have?

I should probably do this too. Pine needles everywhere in my world. The cowling has been cleaned out but I’ve never pulled off the wheel well liner. I fear what is lurking in there.

My Audi has a brilliant design where all the water that drains into the cowl, comes out through a hole under the battery which is bolted in the middle of the cowl area. This hole always gets plugged with debris, causing the cowl area to flood into the cabin air filter, and then into the passenger footwell. Oh and, a new cabin air filter is $45. Stupid German car.

I’m sure mine is full of mud from 5 years ago.
